Santorini Maritime Museum

The Maritime Museum Of Santorini is located in Oia. It is hosted in an elegant mansion (19th century captain’s house) and houses nautical instruments, shipping documents, aquarelles, ship parts and a small library.

The museum was founded in 1956 and its exhibits present the nautical history and the island’s tradition, mostly during the 19th and 20th centuries.

Highlights: 17th, 18th  centuries old ship figureheads , naval charts, a functional submarine’s  periscope , etc.
