Anogi Restaurant Santorini | Traditional Greek Cuisine in Imerovigli Village

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was probably the best dinner we had during our stay in Santorini. We booked in advance, and we’re glad we did because the restaurant was completely full. From the moment we arrived, the service was excellent. The staff were attentive, regularly replaced our cutlery between courses, and happily accommodated our request to prepare a dish without garlic. The food was outstanding. The moussaka was perfectly cooked and the best we had on the island, and it was served with a delicious side salad that complemented it perfectly. The grilled octopus was tender, flavorful, and the capers paired beautifully with it. We also loved the Santorini fava, which was absolutely delicious, and the halloumi bruschetta was another excellent starter. The only thing that wasn’t quite to our taste was the homemade sourdough bread, but that’s simply a matter of personal preference. To finish the meal, we were pleasantly surprised with a complimentary semolina cake to share, and it was absolutely delicious—a perfect ending to an excellent dinner. The only minor downside was that we felt a little encouraged to leave a tip, but it certainly didn’t overshadow the overall experience. Outstanding food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. We would happily come back and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Imerovigli.

Fabulous place. Amazing for our family of five. The staff couldn’t have been more welcoming, couldn’t have been better with our children and made our two meals there super special. It’s a lovely location in the centre of Imerovigli and the atmosphere feels very relaxed and authentic. The best part though was the food. Compared with the overpriced and underseasoned options on the Caldera, Anogi is the real deal. So good we went twice. The Anogi salad was sensational, as was the feta, meatballs and souvlaki. It’s great that family run places like this still exist on Santorini! Thank you!

From the moment we walked in, we felt genuinely welcomed by the incredibly warm and friendly hosts. The food was absolutely exceptional. The shrimp, octopus, and bruschetta were all perfectly prepared, fresh, and full of flavor. Every dish exceeded our expectations. If you're visiting Santorini, this place is an absolute must. We highly recommend it and will definitely come back on our next trip!

This might have been my favorite meal in all of Greece, let alone Santorini. Lambros and his staff welcomed us like family, and the food was wonderful and exquisitely presented. The saganaki is wrapped in fried pastry and topped with herbs and honey, it's like nothing you can have in the US and a must try. The souvlaki, lamb, and meatballs were superlative as well. When we thought we were too stuffed for dessert, they brought us the orange semolina cake, which was the perfect setoff to a perfect meal. As a bonus, the menus have recipes printed on them so you can try your hand at recreating your meal when you get home. Give them a try if you're anywhere nearby.

Amazing experience at Anogi. The staff were very friendly and helpful, they explained the meal questions and came by frequently. The food was perfect, especially the chicken skewers, highly recommend. The tzatziki was also amazing. The prices are affordable for such a touristy area. Will definitely be coming back!
