3 weeks agoA true hidden gem in the heart of Fira! The garden setting is absolutely beautiful and peaceful, creating the perfect atmosphere for a relaxing meal. The food was fresh, authentic, and full of flavor, while the wine selection was outstanding. What made the experience even more special was the warm, attentive service—everyone made us feel genuinely welcome. If you're visiting Santorini, Pelican Kipos is a must-visit for delicious Greek cuisine, excellent wines, and a magical ambiance. Highly recommended!

3 weeks agoOur highlight in Santorini. We took a plane, a boat, and a shuttle to get to this restaurant and so worth it. The beautiful garden is gorgeous and it’s over 400 years old. We could tell the owner and staff take pride in this lovely place. Overall the food was exceptional and staff were friendly. What we ordered for a party of 8: Santorini salad -good 8/10 Greek Salad- good nothing fancy Fava - 8/10 first time having it Mussels -9/10 cooked well Lamb Shank -good flavor 9/10 Grilled octopus-yumm 9/10 the bean salad was good Grilled Sea Bream - 10/10 ( the green sauce was amazing) love the quinoa salad with it Grilled grouper- delicious 8/10 Souvlaki -pork (8/10) Santorini white wine 9/10 Panna Cotta- 7/10 the honey syrup was too sweet but once we tilted the cup and scooped on the side it was perfect. The best part was talking to the sommelier who was passionate about the wines from Santorini. She gave us a private tour inside the 400 year old wine cellar underneath the garden. The cellar has with an extensive collection of local wines from Greece and different regions of the world. We have a better appreciation of the unique wines coming from Santorini. This hidden gem is bookmarked and will be shared with friends traveling to Santorini. One of the best meals we had during our European trip so far.

2 months agoBefore you even get to eating, the ambience and music is amazing. I don’t know if the lady at front owns the place but she was very warm and welcoming. The food was excellent from presentation to taste. We went during the off season so we were seated right away. I assume with how it looks and tastes you’ll need a reservation for sure to enjoy everything this place has to offer!

2 months agoThis part of the review is for the restaurant: Amazing food, atmosphere, and service. Most of the tables are in a lush garden, which has a nice breeze even in the middle of a sunny day. All the food we ordered tasted very good (Santorini salad, grilled squid, tuna pasta, stuffed mushrooms, and potato gratin). They give you either loukoumades or panna cotta at the end as well! This part of the review is for the wine tasting (45 euros per person): An incredible, incredible experience. Eating in the garden of the restaurant, you wouldn't think that there are hundreds and hundreds of bottles of wine sitting underneath you in a breathtaking cave complex. I won't all the details about the cave and the tasting, as that would ruin your experience, but believe me that it is such a unique experience. You get to taste 5 bottles (3 white, 1 red, and 1 vin santo), with an assortment of cheese, bread, and dried tomatoes. The reason why the tasting experience is so incredible however, is because of the host Fortina (I hope I am spelling her name correctly). She is absolutely wonderful, so knowledgeable about the history of Santorini, and truly passionate about wine. Such a special experience.
