Why visit Qhera Santorini

✔ A complete experience: private boat transfer, sea views, fresh fish, creative seafood dishes and chilled cocktails in one curated evening.

✔ A menu designed by Executive Chef Fanis Maikantis, built around the freshest catch of the day, pure “naked” flavors and refined presentations.
✔ Unique setting on the quiet island of Thirassia, far from the crowds but just a short boat ride from Oia.
✔ The rare chance to see the caldera and Santorini “from below” as you glide under the cliffs and white‑washed villages by boat.

Combine your visit with

✔ An afternoon walk along the caldera path between Fira and Imerovigli, arriving at Five Senses in time for a sunset dinner.

✔ A romantic evening at Astra Suites, pairing a stay in Imerovigli with a multi-course dinner at the hotel’s signature restaurant.

✔ A day exploring nearby villages and viewpoints, finishing with a slow, sensory dining experience overlooking the volcano and the sea.

What to try at Five Senses

✔ Fresh catch of the day, grilled or baked, served whole or by the kilo with seasonal sides.

✔ Refined seafood appetizers inspired by Cycladic ingredients and modern Greek flavors.

✔ Pasta or risotto with shellfish, pairing classic comfort with elevated presentation.

✔ Dessert of the day, followed by coffee, liqueurs or a signature cocktail by the sea.

Good to know before visiting

✔ Location: Korfos Bay, Thirassia island, directly on the seafront with its own pier for boat access.

✔ Access: Only by boat – usually a private RIB speedboat from Ammoudi Bay in Oia, arranged in advance.

✔ Return: Your boat will bring you back to Santorini after your meal, so you don’t have to worry about logistics.

✔ Reservations: Essential, especially for sunset and for boat + dinner combinations; last‑minute walk‑ins are unlikely.

Full Description

Qhera is a seafront seafood restaurant and private escape in Korfos Bay, on the quiet island of Thirassia, just opposite Oia. It feels like a secret place: a small fishing bay, a wooden pier, tables set just a few meters from the water and the cliffs of Santorini rising dramatically across the caldera.

Your experience begins in Ammoudi Bay, where you meet your skipper and board a private RIB speedboat. Within minutes you are gliding under the towering red and black cliffs of Santorini, passing below the white‑washed houses of Oia and the blue domes you usually only see from above. Seeing the island “from below”, from the sea, is one of those rare moments that most visitors never experience.

After a short and scenic ride, the boat enters the tiny port of Korfos and stops right in front of Qhera. You step off onto the pier and, within a few steps, sit down at your table by the sea. From here, the pace slows down: the sound of the waves, the smell of the grill and the soft light as the sun sets behind the caldera set the tone for a long, unhurried meal.

The menu, curated by Executive Chef Giannis Hatzis, is all about the freshest catch of the day and clean, “naked” flavors. Expect grilled and baked fish, elegant seafood dishes and seasonal sides made with Cycladic ingredients and extra virgin olive oils from across Greece. The wine list highlights Santorini’s volcanic vineyards but also includes Greek and international labels chosen to pair with seafood and fish. The cocktail list is equally thoughtful, with signature creations inspired by the Aegean – ideal for sunset or after‑dinner drinks by the sea.

When your evening comes to an end, you simply walk back to the pier and board your boat again. The return ride to Santorini is as memorable as the way out: lights along the caldera, the silhouette of the cliffs and the feeling that you’ve just been to a place that most people only see from afar. Qhera is less a simple restaurant and more a carefully designed experience for those who love the sea, fresh fish and the magic of the Aegean at night.

Menu highlights

✔ Fresh catch of the day, served whole or by the kilo, depending on what the fishermen bring in.

✔ Refined seafood appetizers that showcase Cycladic ingredients and modern Greek techniques.

✔ Seasonal salads and vegetable dishes that balance the richness of the seafood.

✔ Daily desserts, enjoyed with coffee, liqueurs or one last glass of wine by the sea.

Drinks

✔ Curated wine list with a strong focus on Santorini’s Assyrtiko and other volcanic wines.

✔ Greek and international labels selected to pair with fish and seafood.

✔ Signature cocktails inspired by the Aegean, perfect for sunset and after‑dinner moments.

✔ Classic long drinks, aperitifs and digestifs.

We had a really nice chat with a waitress there. She was very kind generous and made our day. The food was really delicious and you are a bit off from the other restaurants, which makes it quiet and peaceful. Big recommend.

A 5 Star Dining experience to remember! The food here blew us away, one of the best meals of our lives, with a view and great service to top it off! The dessert was especially memorable! A must visit for foodies coming to Santorini.

Amazing place for lunch or dinner next to the sea. Dishes were all tasteful , hand made combined with Greek wines and tsipouro. Staff is very helpful and polite with food and wine suggestions. A great experience not far from the crowded Santorini. All in all Therassia is a hidden gem next to the noisy and saturated Santorini.

My wife and I visited the Qhera restaurant on the island of Thisarisa. The restaurant was recommended to us by the staff of the Saint hotel luxury suites. The trip was by boat from Ammoudi bay approx 10 min. The boat transfer was complementary, the price of the transfer to Ammoudi bay from Saint hotel is 20€ each way. (the price is very affordable). The restaurant also allows swimming, they currently have 2 umbrellas and 4 sun loungers available. As for the food, it is above average, there is still room for improvement in addition to the Mediterranean, a little more traditional Greek. We recommend visiting the restaurant, the atmosphere is relaxed, friendly staff. You can combine it with swimming in the sea. I hope in the future they will also ads smaller beach club
