Why visit To Psaraki Santorini

✔ Located just above Vlychada marina, overlooking the fishing boats and the sea, To Psaraki is one of Santorini’s most authentic fish taverns.
✔ Combines a relaxed, unpretentious atmosphere with truly exceptional seafood, focusing on fresh daily catch and simple, honest flavours.
✔ The menu is a “return to basics”, celebrating Greek recipes, local vegetables from their own farm and seasonal ingredients cooked with care.
✔ Ideal for a long, lazy lunch after the beach or a cosy dinner under the stars, away from the crowds of Fira and Oia.

Combine your visit with

✔ Swimming at Vlychada beach and then walking up to To Psaraki for lunch with marina views.
✔ A late afternoon visit to the unique volcanic cliffs of Vlychada and photos around the marina before dinner.
✔ A drive along Santorini’s south coast, combining Vlychada with Perivolos, Perissa or Akrotiri.
✔ A relaxed evening with friends, sharing meze, fresh fish and local wine right above the boats.

What to try at To Psaraki

✔ Classic Greek meze by the sea, with fava, spreads, cheeses and seasonal vegetable dishes.

✔ Fish carpaccio and ceviche, marinated anchovies and fresh fish tartare.

✔ Fresh salads with local produce, including Santorinian cherry tomatoes and greens.

✔ Daily selection of whole fresh fish and premium catches, depending on the fishermen’s morning catch.

✔ Seafood pasta and fish fillets, cooked with tomato, herbs and lemon‑olive oil sauce.

Good to know before visiting

✔ Atmosphere: Simple, bright and welcoming, like a traditional captain’s house with veranda, courtyard and upper deck areas.
✔ Best time to visit: Lunch after the beach or early evening for softer light over the marina.
✔ Reservation recommended: Yes, especially in high season and for larger groups.
✔ Ideal for: Seafood lovers, couples and groups who want a genuine Greek fish tavern experience, not a touristy spot.

Full Description

To Psaraki is an award‑winning fish tavern set just above the marina of Vlychada, one of the most atmospheric corners of Santorini.
Far from the busy streets of Oia and Fira, it offers a relaxed setting where volcanic cliffs, fishing boats and the open sea create a unique backdrop.

The space feels like a traditional captain’s house—bright, airy and unpretentious—divided into a veranda with direct marina views, a cosy courtyard and an upper deck lounge for wine and cocktails.
It is the kind of place where you can sit for hours, sharing meze and fresh fish as the boats come and go.

The menu is a carefully curated journey through Greek seaside cuisine, built around fresh fish, seafood and local vegetables grown in Santorini’s volcanic soil.
From fava and cherry‑tomato salad to ceviche, carpaccio, grilled fish and seafood pasta, every dish focuses on clean flavours and honest cooking.

Each morning, the team selects the catch of the day directly from the fishermen in the marina and builds the daily suggestions around what the sea provides.
If you are looking for the authentic taste of the Aegean on your plate, To Psaraki is one of the most trusted names on the island.

Menu Highlights

✔ Greek meze with spreads, salads and hot seafood plates
✔ Fresh fish of the day, from red mullet and sea bream to grouper and amberjack
✔ Signature seafood orzo with saffron and shrimp linguine with fresh tomato and basil
✔ Seasonal salads and vegetables from local produce and their own farm

Desserts & Drinks

✔ Greek‑style desserts such as portokalopita, chocolate pie, yoghurt with honey and nuts, and lighter pastry creations.
✔ Greek wines, local Santorini labels and classic drinks to pair with fish and seafood.

Skip the overcrowded tourist traps in Fira and Oia and taxi to this gorgeous spot for a wonderful seafood meal. The view is spectacular and the fish couldn’t be fresher. We enjoyed everything including chatting with Angelos.

Our favourite restaurant in Santorini; we came on the recommendation of our hotel when we asked where we could enjoy the best fresh fish and were told this was the place to go - we were not disappointed. The tables have a wonderful view overlooking the busy marina and harbour. The menu is fairly priced and the staff are very efficient and friendly. If you wish to eat the freshest fish, you are invited inside to the chiller drawers where you can chose fresh whole fish and choice cuts. My wife and I chose a whole red snapper one day which was perfectly grilled and on our second visit we enjoyed an Amberjack fish steak which was fantastic. If you don’t want a bottle of wine, the house white wine by the glass or carafe is light refreshing and we liked it a lot. The restaurant opens for lunch at 1.30pm and it’s worth booking a table in advance of your visit.

Decided to grab lunch here after visiting the tomato paste museum down the hill. I ate way too much food and didn’t regret a single thing. The cod in the mustard wine sauce was so delicate and delicious. I am still dreaming about the sauce as I write this from New York City weeks later. I also got the Santorini grape tomato and goat cheese salad and bread which was served with tomato paste. Everything was so fresh and delicious and I’ll be serving tomato paste with a touch of olive oil during thanksgiving. What a brilliant combo

Delicious dishes, especially the orzo with seafood and spaghetti with shrimp. But the cherry on top was the beautiful view. Perfect first lunch on the island if I may say so myself. The staff was friendly and energetics as well!

This was one of our favorite meals in Greece. The view of the harbor is lovely, the waiter was friendly and helpful. I highly recommend taking them up on the offer to go into the restaurant and select a fish to be grilled. They fillet it for you with a lovely sauce. The sea bass ceviche was fresh and lovely. The baklava to end the meal was delightful.
